@kusari86 More likely they just don’t know who will be running the country in the next few months – so torturing anyone has a higher risk than usual of coming back to haunt them.
Interesting. Well educated intelligence officials have information that the protest are being engineered by foreign powers. Believing that Wael was working for the covert power they do not torture him and treat him well. Egyptian intelligence refraining form torture? Either they’re immensely nicer than we thought they were or they were afraid of pissing off say- The CIA. They dont like it when their operatives are tortured.
